Bernheck is a district of the Markt Plech in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth .

Geographical location

The church village is located about two kilometers north-northeast of Plech on the karstified northern Franconian Jura , which here has a somewhat restless elevation profile. The village is located at an altitude of 471  m above sea level. NHN .

history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became part of the independent rural community of Ottenhof , which also included the Strüthof wasteland and the later-built horseshoe forest house . In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , Bernheck was incorporated into Plech together with almost the entire municipality of Ottenhof, only the horseshoe forest house was incorporated into the town of Pegnitz . In 1987 Bernheck had 144 inhabitants.

The district road BT 28 connects Bernheck mainly to the public road network, it passes about one kilometer west of the town. The connection there is made by a municipal road, as well as another road to the Plech municipality itself. There is access to the federal motorway 9 at the Plech junction about one and a half kilometers to the west.
