The MPI Adventure is a construction vessel from the British company MPI Offshore. The ship operates under the flag of the Netherlands.
history
The ship was under the hull number N270 on the shipyard COSCO (Nantong) Shipyard Co. in China built. The keel was laid on November 15, 2009, the launch on August 29, 2010. The ship was completed on March 21, 2011.
Technical data and equipment
The ship is powered by diesel-electric technology . For electricity generation are six Rolls-Royce - Diesel generators of the type C25: 33L-8, each with 2,560 kW power available. A Caterpillar type 3508B generator was also installed as an emergency generator. Three Rolls-Royce propeller nacelles , each with an output of 3,250 kW, are available for the propulsion . In the bow of the ship there are three Rolls-Royce transverse thruster systems with an output of 1,500 kW each.
The ship is equipped with a dynamic positioning system. It has six lifting legs, each 71.5 m long, and can work in water up to 40 m deep. The ship can be used up to a wind speed of 14 m / s and waves up to 2.8 m high.
The crane, which can be rotated through 360 °, is located in the stern area of the ship between the two aft lifting legs. It has two hoists, of which the main hoist can lift 1,000 t (with a maximum of 25 m extension) and the auxiliary hoist 160 t (with a maximum of 70 m extension). It can be operated up to a wind speed of 21 m / s. The Liebherr auxiliary crane is located on the starboard side of the ship about midships in front of the central jack leg. It can lift 50 t (with a maximum extension of 26 m).
The deckhouse is located in the bow area of the ship. It offers space for 112 people who can be accommodated in 50 double and 12 single cabins. The working deck, which is located behind the deckhouse, is 3,600 m². It can be loaded with up to 10 t per m². There is a helideck above the bridge .
The ship can stay at sea for between 45 and 75 days.
