history

In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , the municipality of Ottenhof was then almost completely incorporated into Plech, about four kilometers northeast of Ottenhof as a settlement exclave in the large, municipality-free Veldenstein Forest , Hufeisen-Waldhaus was incorporated into the city of Pegnitz . In 1987 Ottenhof had 194 inhabitants.

At the other end of the town in the direction of Plech, you will find the Plech junction of the federal motorway 9 . In local public transport , the transport association for the greater Nuremberg area (VGN) travels to Ottenhof during the day with the regional bus lines 380 and 386 as well as with the call line taxi 343.
