FC Krung Thai Bank was a semi-professional football club from the Thai capital Bangkok , which was founded in 1977 . Most recently, the club played in the highest Thai league, the Thailand Premier League . The home games were last played in the Chulalongkorn University Stadium, Bangkok. The name and logo are derived from Krung Thai Bank , PCL. Krung Thai Bank is one of the largest banks in the country. She was both the club owner and sponsor of the club.
The 2nd place from the 2007 season entitled to participate in the AFC Champions League 2008. The group finished 3rd. Two games should be remembered: the 8-1 defeat against the Kashima Antlers from Japan and the 9-1 win against FC Nam Dinh from Vietnam . The club finished the 2008 season in the TPL in 6th place.
