Kumba is a district capital in the Sud-Ouest region in Cameroon . 144,268 inhabitants live in the city (2005 census).
Economy and Transport
The city on the N8 and N16 is a regional transport hub with a train station on the Duala – Nkongsamba line and a trading center for cocoa, oil palms and bananas, among other things.

The training of pastors of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC) takes place regularly in the Kumba theological seminary.
The Roman Catholic diocese of Kumba was established in March 2016 . The Episcopal Church is the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
