Kumilla ( Bengali : কুমিল্লা , Kumillā ; English : Comilla ) is a city in southeastern Bangladesh . In the city with 407,901 inhabitants according to the 2011 census is the seat of the administration of the district of the same name . The city consists of 18 wards (districts) and extends over an area of 11.47 km².
In a suburb of Kumillas there is a military cemetery (Commonwealth War Cemetery Memorials). The city also has a naval and military museum as well as a college for rural development.
The tabla player Badal Roy was born in Kumilla .
