KunstKulturQuartier

The KunstKulturQuartier ( KKQ ), founded in 2008, is an office of the city of Nuremberg that combines the Kunsthalle Nürnberg , the Künstlerhaus , the Kunsthaus , the Tafelhalle , the Filmhaus Nürnberg, the historic Katharinenkloster and the Kunstvilla (museum for regional art) into one administrative unit . The administrative headquarters are in the Künstlerhaus in the center of Nuremberg city center, directly opposite the main train station .

Facilities and programs

In seven different facilities, the KunstKulturQuartier offers its visitors an interdisciplinary program from music, dance, theater, literature, visual arts and film.

In the art gallery, art house and art villa, the spectrum ranges from contemporary international and regional art to historical exhibitions. In the Künstlerhaus there are music events from jazz to classical music, in the Filmhaus you can experience international cinema. In addition, festival events come as the International Puppet Theater Festival , the Film Festival Turkey / Germany .

Between the middle of June and the beginning of August, the St. Katharina Open Air takes place in the Katharinenruine in downtown Nuremberg.

The Tafelhalle presents contemporary dance and theater and music events from jazz to rock, as well as cabaret in cooperation with the Nuremberg Burgtheater . Readings, an extensive art and dance educational program, senior and children's events complement the cultural offer. In the work rooms of the open workshops in the Künstlerhaus there is also the opportunity to be creative.
