The Nuremberg Burgtheater is a theater for cabaret , comedy and cabaret in Nuremberg .

About history

The Nuremberg Burgtheater has existed since 1982, but the Nürnberger Burgtheater eV association was founded as early as 1979 . In 1987 the theater received a Nuremberg grant and in 2009 a grant from the City of Nuremberg Prize .

At the beginning the theater was located in Weißgerbergasse , since May 17, 1984 it has been playing in Füll 13.

Since 1984 the Burgtheater has been organizing the "Cabaret Days" in late autumn, a fortnightly festival that brings current cabaret productions from German-speaking countries to Nuremberg.

Since 1991 the Nuremberg Burgtheater has been awarding the German Cabaret Prize donated by the city of Nuremberg .
