history

The theater and culture group "Art and Drama" was founded on September 1st, 2008 by Friederike Pöhlmann-Grießinger from Nuremberg and Roland Eugen Beiküfner as an institute for theatrical forms. The foundation celebrations took place on the honorary citizenship . In order to do justice to the name “Art and Drama”, it was decided to produce a culture report on the most controversial and famous German post-war artist Joseph Beuys . With the support of the entrepreneur Udo Martin and the Nuremberg bakery Günter Grießinger, this project was realized. This theatrical production in two acts is currently still in the program of the artist group. All other productions, projects and events were selected and implemented according to the motto: "extraordinary people in extraordinary situations". "Art and drama" is also described as an institution or group "sui generis" that stands for itself and does not fit any specific genre. Since September 2016, "Art and Drama" in the trilogy has been dedicated to the forgotten writers with plays, readings and lectures, writers who are increasingly being forgotten. On April 5, 2019, a bundle of documents from the theater and culture group "Art and Drama - Institute for Theatrical Forms" was collected by Ms. Jasmin Kambach from the Nuremberg City Archives as part of the project "People make city history" under the registry number E. 9/658 included in the Nuremberg City Archives.

Friederike Pöhlmann-Grießinger was born on May 20, 1958 as the daughter of the architect couple Fritz and Walburga Pöhlmann in Nuremberg. From 1977 to 1985 she studied theater studies, art history and modern German literature in Munich and Erlangen. In July 1985 she completed her studies at the Philosophical Faculty II (Linguistics and Literature Studies) at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg with a master's thesis on " Schnitzler's Reigen as Political Issue - Berlin, Vienna 1921" and the academic degree Magister Artium . While still a student, she gained her first professional theater experience, worked as a dramaturgy assistant at the Nuremberg Opera House and was jointly responsible for the program for the new staging of Schnitzler's Reigen for the Bavarian State Theater in Munich. After completing her studies, Friederike Pöhlmann-Grießinger, a mother of two, was a freelance lecturer at the adult education center in Erlangen , cultural critic and director of two children's theater groups and performed as a member of the movement ensemble at the State Theater in Nuremberg . From 2002 to 2009 she worked at the Stadttheater Fürth and supervised the house's own productions as an assistant director. On September 1st, 2008 she founded the theater and culture group Art and Drama as an institute for theatrical forms.
