Art mill Langwied
The Langwied Art Mill is a former mill in Munich . It is registered as an architectural monument in the Bavarian list of monuments.
location
The Langwied art mill is located on the southern edge of the historic center of the Munich district of Langwied on Langwieder Hauptstraße 70 shortly before it joins Berglwiesenstraße. From the street, an approximately 75 m long cul-de-sac leads south to the former mill on Langwieder Bach and the residential building to the west of it.
history
The core of the mill dates back to the 18th century. The mill building was still in use until after the Second World War. From 1985 to 2011 it was used under the name Musikmühle Langwied for private parties and performances by local music groups.
description
The mill building has a footprint of about 7 m × 14 m. It is a two-storey hipped roof building from which a tower-like gable roof with a sloping roof protrudes in the middle.
The residential building is an approximately 11 m × 13 m two-story building with a hipped roof .
