Kurao Umeki
Kurao Umeki ( Japanese 梅 木 蔵 雄 , Umeki Kurao ; born September 30, 1975 in Hikari ) is a Japanese long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon route .
At the 2002 Half Marathon World Championships , he finished 19th and together with the Japanese team won the silver medal. At the 2003 Berlin Marathon he finished seventh with his personal best of 2:09:52 h.
In 2005 he was fourth in the Beijing Marathon and in 2006 third in the Berlin Marathon.
In 2008 he finished sixth in the Tokyo Marathon .
Umeki graduated from Waseda University and currently lives in Hiroshima . He starts for the Chūgoku Denryoku team .
