Bad Kreuznach spa gardens
The Bad Kreuznach spa park is located at the Parkhotel Kurhaus in the core town of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland-Palatinate . It is under monument protection as a monument zone .
The spa is in much of a English garden , which was created from the 1840th In the park there are u. a. several pavilions, fountains and sculptures, including the bronze sculpture Grape Girl (1950) by the sculptor Hanna Cauer .
The Nahe , a tributary of the Rhine, runs right along the edge of the park . Towards the Nahe, the park is bordered by a sea wall several meters high, with a promenade running along its upper edge . The southern tip of the park protruding into the river is occupied by a pump room called Elisabethenquelle from the 1880s.
The section of the Nahe river bordering the park is in the Bad Kreuznach Kurpark nature reserve ; however, the park itself is not under nature protection.
