Kurt Adelmann

Kurt Adelmann (born October 5, 1930 in Nuremberg , † November 8, 1978 in Lauf an der Pegnitz ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Adelmann went to elementary school, trained as a toolmaker and attended several evening schools and boarding schools run by the DGB , IG Metall and the adult education center. As a result, he acquired knowledge of labor and social law as well as economic, trade union policy and sociology. After this visit he worked in the private sector, among other things, as a youth spokesman and works council and was a member of the economic committee. He also held some trade union functions, from 1960 onwards he was executive chairman of the DGB in the district of Lauf an der Pegnitz. Adelmann, who joined both IG Metall and the SPD in 1947, became a member of the Bavarian state parliament for the first time in 1966elected. From 1974 he was also a member of the Broadcasting Council of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation . He died shortly before the end of his third term after he was originally also elected to the new state parliament. His successor was Rainer Messerer .
