Kurt Gäble

Kurt Gäble (born January 5, 1953 in Lauben in Swabia ) is a contemporary German composer for brass music .

Life

Gäble studied music, art and education at the University of Augsburg . Self-taught , he developed his skills as a composer and arranger. In 1986, his work “Der Komet” won a composition competition organized by Bayerischer Rundfunk in cooperation with the Bavarian Music Council . In 1992 he won the nationwide competition of the Swabian Cultural Foundation with his composition "Zeitenwende".

Numerous commissioned compositions and contemporary arrangements round off his previous compositional work. Gäble is mainly known for its modern arrangements and compositions.

Kurt Gäble lives in his birthplace Lauben.
