Kurt Jaroschek

Kurt Jaroschek (born October 13, 1898 in Breslau ; † November 22, 1989 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German engineer .

Life

Kurt Jaroschek studied mechanical engineering in Breslau and Hanover and was a. a. working for Thyssen . An appointment to RWTH Aachen University in 1942 was rejected with reference as a "former center supporter". In April 1952 he was appointed full professor for heat engineering at the TH Darmstadt and was appointed director of the institute for heat engineering. Jaroschek was committed to nuclear energy issues and was a renowned expert in this field.

He was a devout Catholic . In 1956 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Nicola Cardinal Canali and invested in Cologne Cathedral on December 8, 1956 by Lorenz Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .

He married Gertrud Lorenz in 1923.
