Kurt Lingnau

Kurt Lingnau (born November 8, 1920 ) is a former German soccer player .

The defender began his career at VfB Königsberg , for whom he played in the first team from at least 1940/41 to 1943/44; Information according to which he has been running for VfB since 1929 is based on a mix-up with Bruno Lingnau . During this time Kurt Lingnau was with his club at least three times in a row East Prussia champion, took part in the finals of the German championship and was also an East Prussian selection player. However, there are indications that he was only in the team of VfB Königsberg at the beginning of the 1943/44 season.

After his escape from East Prussia in 1945, Lingnau was immediately associated with four clubs: SG Mariendorf (= Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin ), Holstein Kiel , Eimsbütteler TV and Eckernförder SV . However, only the Eckernförder SV station can be regarded as secure. He joined the club at the latest in early 1946 (probably coming together with Kurt Baluses from Holstein Kiel) and won the district championship with him in 1945/46 (highest league at that time). In late 1947 / early 1948, Lingnau moved to Itzehoer SV , with whom he won the Schleswig-Holstein championship in 1948, 1949 and 1950 and was promoted to the Oberliga Nord in 1950 , but was relegated again after only one season. An intermediate stop at Eimsbütteler TV 1946/47 and back to Eckernförder SV is indicated by the ESV chronicle.

At Itzehoer SV, Lingnau played with at least six former team-mates from VfB Königsberg: Kurt Krause , Erwin Scheffler , Hans Klinger , Rudolf Schönbeck , Gerhard Reich and player-coach Kurt Baluses . He had already played in a team with him and Kurt Krause at Eckernförder SV, and there with Ede Krause .

Another station was TSV Duwo 08 , where Kurt Lingnau worked as a player-coach (since 1952 (?)).
