Kurt Schenk zu Schweinsberg

Carl Otto Kurt Freiherr Schenk zu Schweinsberg (born April 22, 1858 in Kassel ; † May 30, 1929 there ) was a German administrative officer, manor owner, church politician and member of parliament.

Life

Kurt Schenk zu Schweinsberg studied law at the Eberhard Karls University . In 1880 he was reciprocated in the Corps Suevia Tübingen . As an inactive he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1907 he became a senior councilor. He was the owner of the manor and head of the knightly Kaufunger aid fund in Hesse. From a by-election on March 28, 1912 to 1918, Schenk sat as a member of the constituency of Kassel 9 (Kirchhain, Frankenberg) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party . From 1908 to 1924 he was Consistorial President of the Evangelical Church in Hesse-Kassel . He was also a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Hesse-Nassau Province and the Kassel Municipal Parliament . He was also a member of the district council.
