Life

After graduating from high school , Seinitz began studying journalism and economic and social history, but did not complete it. From 1967 he worked for the daily Express . In 1971 he came to the Kronen Zeitung in the foreign policy department, which he took over a year later.

In 2002, Kurt Seinitz's statement in the film documentary “ Kronen Zeitung - a tabloid piece every day ” caused a sensation , after which he sometimes gave a journalistic “order call” to politicians such as Federal Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel , Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner or Federal President Thomas Klestil judge. Specifically, the conversation was about a critical article about the international profile addiction of these three politicians. Seinitz said: “Yes, because Klestil asked me if this is a change of direction for the newspaper that he now has to fear that he will be dragged by the cocoa in the long run. And I told him it's a call to order. So if the facts change for the better, everything will be normal again. ” This has been interpreted by many media as proof of the comparatively great power that senior editors of the Kronen Zeitung have over Austrian politicians.

His main topics include the economic development of East Asia and its effects. His 2006 book "Caution China!" Was in the Austrian non-fiction bestseller lists for several weeks in March 2006.

In 2016 he was awarded the Leopold Kunschak Press Prize.

Seinitz '"Klartext" column in the Kronen Zeitung of November 30th on Slobodan Praljak's suicide with the title "Suicide of a war criminal: Strong exit as once von Göring" was at the end of 2017 as "extremely disconcerting" reporting and praise of the National Socialist Hermann Göring criticized.
