The Ecowin Verlag is a publishing house in Salzburg .

Ecowin is a fancy name that symbolizes a publishing house and books for profit. The corporate philosophy of the publishing house, founded by Hannes Steiner in 2003 , includes the critical approach to socio-political issues from the fields of politics, economy, science, culture and history. The publisher publishes 12 to 15 books annually.

By the end of 2012, 86% of 112 new publications had made it onto a bestseller list and 43% had reached first place. Ecowin books have so far been translated into 18 languages.

Ecowin Verlag follows an independent publishing line and waives any publishing subsidies.

In the 2008 and 2009 book favorites , Ecowin was voted “Publisher of the Year”.

In April 2013 Steiner sold his Ecowin Verlag to Red Bull Media House Publishing GmbH (a subsidiary of Red Bull Media House GmbH ); the publisher was then incorporated into their company portfolio. The purchase price was not made public. Ecowin has been part of the Red Bull literary publisher Benevento Publishing since 2015 . In 2017 Dirk Rumberg became managing director of Benevento Publishing. He succeeded Hannes Steiner, who left the company.
