Kurt Tauchmann († 2000 in Berlin ) was a German head make- up artist at DEFA .

Life

He began his career on September 2, 1959. It developed when West German make-up artists who had been working for DEFA gave up their work. Tauchmann mostly worked for Hans Mahlich , but also for Lutz Köhlert and Kurt Maetzig . He has been involved in utopian films and DEFA Indian films. He also worked abroad in Poland and Yugoslavia . In the DEFA film May I say Petrushka to you? from 1981 he was a make-up artist himself.
