Kurt Vossen

Kurt Vossen (born September 23, 1937 in Cologne ; † January 11, 2007 there ) was a German football official.

Kurt Vossen played actively as a teenager. With VfL Leverkusen he reached the senior division as the top division of the association league . At Bayer AG he initially worked as an electrical engineer. Until he took over the management of the football department of the Bayer Group in 1992 as the successor to Günther Kaebe, he was head of the vocational training department. As Chairman of Bayer 04 Leverkusen , he founded Bayer 04 Fußball GmbH in 1999. He then retired, but remained head of the football department at TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen and also became honorary chairman of VfL Leverkusen.

His greatest successes as head of the football department were winning the DFB Cup in 1993 and his first participation in the UEFA Champions League . He was also significantly involved in the expansion of the Leverkusen stadium, the BayArena .
