Kurt W. Liedtke

Kurt W. Liedtke (born March 23, 1943 in Darmstadt ) is a German lawyer and has been the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Robert Bosch Foundation since October 2007 .

Life

Kurt Liedtke attended the Goethe School in Dieburg and passed his Abitur there in 1962. He then studied law at the universities of Frankfurt am Main and Lausanne as a scholarship holder of the Cusanuswerk . In 1967 he passed the first state examination in law in Frankfurt am Main and received his doctorate in 1971. jur. In 1972 he completed the second state examination in law at the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt am Main .

He then worked as a specialist lawyer for tax law in a Frankfurt law firm. In 1974 he took over the position of in-house counsel at the Laufenburg power plant in Switzerland .

In 1977 Kurt Liedtke joined the international legal department of Robert Bosch GmbH as a consultant . From 1981 he started with special marketing tasks at Robert Bosch Ltd. in Watford / Great Britain and Fábrica Española Magnetos SA Femsa in Madrid / Spain. In 1982 Liedtke became managing director of Robert Bosch Comercial Española SA, in 1989 he changed to Robert Bosch Ltd. in the same function. in Great Britain. From January 1996 to December 2000 he was chairman of the executive board of Robert Bosch Australia Pty Ltd. in Melbourne.

In 2001 Kurt Liedtke was appointed to the management of Robert Bosch GmbH and took over the chairmanship of the management of the Robert Bosch Corporation based in Detroit / USA. As managing director of Robert Bosch GmbH, he was responsible for the regional Bosch business in North and South America as well as for the Security Systems division worldwide. In 2006 Liedtke became a partner and member of the board of trustees of Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH and on October 1, 2007, he took over the chairmanship of the board of trustees.

Private

Kurt Liedtke has been married since 1966 and has three children, Patrick M. Liedtke , Tanja Liedtke and one other son.

Since 1962 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Badenia (Strasbourg) Frankfurt am Main .
