Květoslav Innemann
Květoslav Innemann , called Vincenc , (born June 29, 1910 in Lom u Mostu ; † February 9, 1971 ) was a Czechoslovak communist , prisoner in the Dachau and Buchenwald concentration camps , party functionary ( KPC ) and publishing director .
Life
Innemann joined the Czechoslovak Communist Party (CCP). After the destruction of Czechoslovakia by Nazi Germany , he was in the Dachau concentration camp in 1938 deported . From 1939 to 1945 he was a prisoner in the Buchenwald concentration camp, where he was assigned to the work details "prisoner library" and "labor statistics". He was a member of the International Camp Committee (ILK). In this function he had the opportunity to use the illegally intercepted foreign messages to pass on the status of events at the front, especially the advance of the Red Army, to Soviet prisoners and thus strengthen the will to resist. He was also able to arrange the help of an Austrian doctor for the sick Soviet prisoner Nikolai Simakov .
When the Nazi rule was eliminated, he went back to the CSR and became a member of the Central Committee of the CCP. Professionally he worked as a director of a publishing house.
