The Kwetabohigan River is an approximately 230 km long left tributary of the Moose River in the north of the Canadian province of Ontario .
geography
The Kwetabohigan River rises at an altitude of 180 m 108 km north-northeast of Hearst . From there it flows 150 km in a northeast direction before gradually turning to the east. The Kwetabohigan River finally flows 20 km southwest of Moosonee into the Moose River, 40 km above its mouth into James Bay . The Kwetabohigan River splits into two arms one kilometer above the mouth. The Kwetabohigan River drains an area of 4250 km². The mean discharge at the mouth is 42.6 m³ / s. The river carries the largest amounts of water during the snowmelt from April to June.
