Kymlinge is an unfinished station on the Stockholm subway that was built half in a tunnel and half open. It is located south of the Stockholm district of Kista in the middle of a large forest area between the stations Hallonbergen and Kista . In the 1970s, the planned new district of Kymlinge was to be developed. It is often referred to as the “ ghost station ” or “abandoned station”.

This district should consist mainly of government and government buildings that should be bundled in one area. A short time later it was decided that the government buildings would be distributed all over the country. This put the planning of the district on hold, but the station was already under construction at that time.

At the turn of the millennium, the plans for completion were taken up again, but they quickly came to an end, as the nature reserve Igelbäcken was created in the area; the stream of the same name is also a habitat for the rare brook loaches (also known as "greenlings"). The plans received a new impetus from 2015 with the publication of the project for a settlement with up to 7000 apartments north of the station by the property owner Vasakronan and the associated considerations about a possible connection of the area to the municipality of Stockholm .
