Kythros ( Greek Κύθρος ) is an uninhabited island in the Ionian Islands . It belongs to the Lefkada Regional Unit and the Archipelago of the Taphic Islands . Kythros is characterized by a rocky coast with almost no beaches and extremely barren vegetation. It is privately owned.
geography
Kythros lies south of Meganisi and is only separated from the southern headland by a narrow channel. Approx. 1.3 km to the west is the uninhabited island of Petalou , to the east, about the same length as the island of Kalamos , is the uninhabited islet of Kefali (Tilevoides) . The next more southern island is Atokos and in the southeast Arkoudi .
