The Lågtangen ( Norwegian for Flat Tongue , English Low Tongue ) is a 160 m long headland on the Mawson Coast of the East Antarctic Mac-Robertson Land . It protrudes into the cooperation lake immediately west of Holme Bay .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them descriptively, mapped them using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated this designation into English.
