Léon Demeuldre

Léon "Bodas [c] h" Demeuldre (* 1925 ) is a Belgian jazz - drummer .

Demeuldre played in the early 1940s a. a. with Jean-Pierre “Big John” Vandenhoute (with whom the first recordings were made in 1941) and in the KOTT orchestra and in the septet by Henri Van Bemst , in the 1950s a. a. with Francis Coppieters , Herman Sandy and Léo Souris . At the Jazz Club Brussels he accompanied guest jazz musicians such as Don Byas , Peanuts Holland and Albert Nicholas with Bob Colmant (banjo) and Benoît Quersin (double bass) in Belgium . In 1955 he made private recordings under his own name (Jazz Vivant) with Henri Carels (trumpet), Jacky June (tenor saxophone), Jean Fanis (piano) and Nick Kletchkovsky (bass). In 1960 he played with Bill Coleman , in 1972 with Alex Scorier and His Dixieland Band. In the field of jazz he was involved in 14 recording sessions between 1941 and 1972.
