Léon Eyrolles (born December 14, 1861 in Tulle , † December 3, 1945 in Cachan ?) Was a French politician and businessman. In 1891 he founded the later École Spéciale des Travaux Publics du Bâtiment et de l'Industrie (ESTP) and, in addition to the Editions Eyrolles publishing house, also a library (Librairie Eyrolles), which specializes in subjects related to technical colleges.

Eyrolles recognized his pedagogical skills by helping his comrades gain professional development. In 1902 he bought a large site in Cachan , a town near Paris , on which he later set up training centers, laboratories and a boarding school. From this construction school, the still private École Spéciale des Travaux Publics, a grande école , developed at which civil engineers , engineers for building services and surveying engineers are trained today.

Since 1924 Eyrolles was a council member of Cachan and mayor of the municipality from 1929 to 1944 and thus in his last term of office was the oldest mayor of the Seine department .
