Lineas Aéreas Nacionales SA, LANSA for short , was a Peruvian airline with headquarters in Lima and the aviation hub at Lima Airport .
It flew between 1963 and 1971 until its license to operate was revoked on December 24, 1971 as a result of the crash of a Lockheed L-188 Electra on LANSA Flight 508 , general safety problems and falsification of maintenance records.

Incidents

- August 9, 1970: Lockheed L-188 Electra from Cusco to Lima (LANSA flight 502), 101 fatalities
- December 24, 1971: Lockheed L-188 Electra on LANSA Flight 508 , 91 fatalities.
