The Löwen-Apotheke is a listed building in the Neue Neustadt district of the city of Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 06339 .

history

According to the keystone above the shop entrance, the pharmacy was founded in 1730. The current building is a structure from 1814, which was created in the course of the relocation of the new town. Major structural changes to the ground floor facade were made by master mason C. Ganzlin in 1910. It is the oldest pharmacy in the city.

Structural description

The Löwen Pharmacy is a two-story plastered building with a gable roof . Above the shop entrance is the keystone turvy is the old house sign, a gilded lion from sandstone . There are two narrow cornices between the ground floor and the upper floor . The openings for the shop door and the shop window are designed as basket arches. The windows on the upper floor are simple rectangular windows and a segmented arched window .
