Movie content
A researcher places his own head on an air-fed table. He carefully inflates the living head with air and notices how it grows. When his stupid assistant walks in, he is enthusiastic about this invention and pumps his head up until it bursts.
Background information
Georges Méliès took on the role of all three protagonists for this film. For the scenes with the head, he shot a close-up of his head and cut that scene into the film.
The basic idea of the film is based on the magic show Magic - Stage Illusions and Scientific Diversions by Albert A. Hopkins .
