L -Fuculose (synonym 6- deoxytagatose ) is a ketohexose and a deoxysugar . It is in the form of a ring of furanosis . There is also a chiral center and correspondingly a D- and an L-shape. L -Fuculose may by reversible isomerization of L - fucose by the D - arabinose - isomerase are formed.
