La Compagnie Créole is a French band from Guadeloupe , Martinique and French Guiana that was mainly popular in French-speaking countries in the 1980s. They sang first in Creole , later in French.

history

The group, founded in 1975, released their first album, Ba mwen en ti bo , in 1976 , followed by the album Blogodo in 1982 . In 1983 they released the singles Vive le Douanier Rousseau! and C'est bon pour la moral , two of her greatest successes with 400,000 and 500,000 copies respectively. From 1984 to 1987 other hits such as Le Bal masqué , Ça fait rire les oiseaux and Ma Premier Biguine-Partie appeared .
