history

On March 26, 1977, RTBF started a second station with RTbis , followed by the renaming to Télé 2 in 1979 . On March 21, 1988 it was renamed again. So was called Télé 2 Télé 21 . The repetition of the first program was given up and replaced by own content. Documentaries, live events (especially sports events), films and more were broadcast.

On March 21, 1993, Télé 21 was replaced by RTBF 21 and Eurosport 21 . Both channels shared the transmission slot. The main focus was on broadcasting sports events.

A little later, on March 1, 1997, RTBF 21 became RTBF la deux . They broadcast a mixture of documentaries, cultural programs, live events and continued to focus on sports. Eurosport 21 was discontinued in the course of this.

On September 2, 2002 the name was changed to la deux , even then a round logo with the name of the station was used.

The current logo was introduced on January 26, 2004 and the program was changed. HD operations began on September 16, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. At the same time, the logo was presented in a 3D look for the first time. This last step was revised in September 2014, since then the 2D logo has been on the air again.
