La Leonesa is the capital of the Bermejo department in the Chaco province in northern Argentina . It is located 70 kilometers from the provincial capital Resistencia . In the classification of municipalities in the province of Chaco, it belongs to the 2nd category. Together with the town of Las Palmas , it forms an urban agglomeration .
