La Tordue was a French chanson - band that existed from 1989 to 2003 and was with their separate pieces temporarily quite popular in France.

Band history

The French music group La Tordue was founded in 1989 in Paris by Benoît Morel and Pierre Payan . Shortly thereafter, Eric Philippon joined. For the last album Mathieu Morel also became a member of the band. Morel was originally the songwriter for the Têtes Raides . This is the band they are most compared to. In December 2003, La Tordue disbanded.

Her music consists largely of melancholy pieces and gained great popularity mainly in the French-speaking world.
