Lac Bienville is a lake in the Canadian province of Québec , in the Nunavik region in north du Québec .
The lake is located about 300 km east of Hudson Bay on the Labrador Peninsula . It is 428 m above sea level and has a water area of 1047 km² and a total area including islands of 1249 km². The river Grande rivière de la Baleine forms the outflow of the lake to Hudson Bay.
To the east of the lake, the hilly landscape rises to a height of 700 m . There is the watershed between the Caniapiscau Reservoir further east , which belongs to the catchment area of Ungava Bay , and Lac Bienville, which is drained to Hudson Bay.
The lake was named after Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville (1680–1767).
