The Lac de Chésery is a small mountain lake in the Chablais region in the Swiss canton of Valais .
The lake should not be confused with the Lacs des Chéserys near Chamonix , France.
location
The lake is at an altitude of 1891 m above sea level. M. on the territory of the municipality of Monthey .
It is located near the Col de Chésery pass of the same name on the French-Swiss border, in the catchment area of the Rhône . In the west, the lake is dominated by the Pointe de Chésery .
A little above the lake is Lac Vert and the Refuge de Chésery - Lac Vert mountain hut .
Access
You can reach the lake from Morgins via Alp Tovassière (1689 m) or from Val d'Illiez via Portes de l'Hiver resp. Portes du Soleil .
The lake can be reached in around 45 minutes from the mountain stations of the two chairlifts on the Pointe des Mossettes .
