Nicolas Wimmer (born March 15, 1995 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Wimmer began his career at DSG Union Pichling . In 2003 he switched to the LASK youth team . In 2009 he came to the academy of SV Ried , where he played until 2012.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to the fourth-class ASKÖ Donau Linz . He made his debut in the Upper Austrian League in October 2012 when he came on as a substitute for Manuel Hammerl on the ninth matchday of that season against Union Dietach in the 70th minute. He scored his first goal for Donau Linz in March 2014 in a 1-0 win against SV Bad Ischl .

In his four years with Donau Linz, Wimmer played 91 games in the Upper Austrian League, in which he scored five goals. For the 2016/17 season, he initially switched to the regional league team SK Vorwärts Steyr on loan . He played his first game in the regional league in July 2016 when he was in the starting line-up against SV Grieskirchen on the first day of that season .

In March 2017 he was signed permanently by Steyr. With Steyr he rose to the 2nd division in 2018 . He made his debut in the second-highest division in July 2018 when he played against SV Ried on the first matchday of the 2018/19 season.
