Josip Martinović (born July 23, 1989 in Požega ) is a Croatian football player .

Career

Martinović moved to the 2012/13 season from NK Mladost Cernik to first division club Cibalia Vinkovci . After two months at Cibalia, he moved to NK Slavonija Požega in August 2012 .

For the 2014/15 season he returned to Cibalia Vinkovci, who now played in the 2nd HNL . He made his debut in the second highest Croatian league in September 2014 when he came on as a substitute for Mladen Bartolović on matchday eight of that season against NK Rudeš in the 60th minute .

In January 2015, Martinović moved to Slavonija Požega a second time. For the 2015/16 season he moved to the Austrian regional league team SK Vorwärts Steyr .

With Steyr he rose to the 2nd division in 2018 . In the promotion season 2017/18 he came to 29 missions in which he scored seven goals. In July 2018 he made his debut in the second-highest Austrian division when he was in the starting line-up against SV Ried on the first matchday of the 2018/19 season. In that game he scored the goal to make it 1-1.
