Thomas Himmelfreundpointner (born December 22, 1987 ) is an Austrian soccer player .

Career

Himmelfreundpointner began his career at SV Losenstein , where he later played in the fighting team. For the 2007/08 season he moved to the league competitor in the sixth class district league , the ATSV Neuzeug .

In 2009 he joined the fourth-class SV Sierning . In August 2009 he made his debut in the Upper Austrian League when he was in the starting line-up against SV Bad Schallerbach on the first day of the 2009/10 season . In the game that Sierning won 2-0, Himmelfreundpointner also scored the goal to make it 1-0.

In his three years with Sierning he made 75 appearances in the Upper Austrian League, in which he scored 14 goals. For the 2012/13 season he moved to the regional division Union St. Florian . He made his first game in the regional league in August 2012 when he was in the starting line-up against SV Wallern on the first day of that season . He scored his first goal in the regional league in September 2012 in a 2-1 win for St. Florian against FC Gratkorn .

For the 2015/16 season he moved to league competitor SK Vorwärts Steyr . With Steyr he rose to the 2nd division in 2018 . In the 2017/18 promotion season, he scored four goals in 19 appearances.

In July 2018, Himmelfreundpointner made his debut in the second-highest division when he was in the starting line-up against SV Ried on the first matchday of the 2018/19 season.
