Lachie Stewart
Lachie Stewart (actually Joseph Laughlin Stewart; born June 22, 1943 in Alexandria , Scotland ) is a former British long-distance runner .
In 1970 he won for Scotland starting at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh over 10,000 m . At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he was eliminated over the same distance in the preliminary run. In 1973 he came in 45th place at the Cross Country World Championships in Waregem .
In 1968 he became English champion over three miles . He won Scottish titles five times over six miles or 10,000 m (1967, 1968, 1970, 1971, 1973), four times over three miles or 5000 m (1965, 1967–1969) and over ten miles (1966–1968, 1971) ) and twice in cross-country running (1967, 1968).
