Ladies German Open
The Ladies German Open was an international golf tournament of the Ladies European Tour (LET) . It was held with interruptions from 1984 to 2014 in various golf clubs and with changing sponsors.
With 350,000 euros in prize money, the event was recently in the good average of the European tournament series for women professional golfers. With an average of around 30,000 visitors during the entire week of the tournament, the Ladies German Open was the largest women's professional golf tournament in Germany. The organizer was Deutsche Golf Sport GmbH.
The Englishwoman Joanne Morley and the Swedish Liselotte Neumann won the tournament twice each.
After a longstanding sponsor withdrew in 2013, a sponsor could be found again for 2014. The following year, however, the tournament had to be canceled. However, the tournament was not officially closed.
