Bruce Crawford (born February 16, 1955 ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Scottish National Party (SNP).

Crawford attended Kinross & Perth High School . From 1974 to 1999 he worked for the Scottish Office . Crawford was an elected councilor for the Perth and Kinross area between 1988 and 2001 and chaired it between 1996 and 1999. In the Scottish general elections in 1999 Crawford was a candidate for the SNP on the electoral list of the Mid Scotland and Fife region and won a seat in the newly created Scottish Parliament . In the parliamentary elections in 2003 he ran both as a candidate on the regional list and as a candidate for the constituency of Stirling . In the constituency of Stirling, Crawford was only able to gain the third highest number of votes after Sylvia Jackson of the Labor Party and the candidate of the Conservative Party , Brian Monteith , but was again elected to parliament via the regional electoral list. In the parliamentary elections in 2007 , he finally won the direct mandate of the constituency, which he defended in the parliamentary elections in 2011 with a clear lead over the Labor Party candidate.
