Lae City FC (until 2019 also Lae City Dwellers FC, regionally also Toti City FC) is a Papua New Guinea football club from the second largest city in the country, Lae . He plays in the national top division of men and plays his games on the north coast of the country in the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium .

history

The club was founded in 2014 and consists mainly of local players. The team was able to secure the championship title in the 2015 season. After a second place behind Hekari United FC in the league phase, they defeated FC Port Moresby 3-1 in the semi-finals of the play-offs and beat Madang FC 5-1 in the final. With the win, Lae qualified for the OFC Champions League 2016 for the first time , in which they were eliminated after the preliminary round without winning a point. In the 2015/16 season of the National Soccer League, Lae was able to qualify for the National Champions League as group first in the northern zone ahead of Welgris Morobe United. They reached the final as runners-up in the group and were able to decide it with two goals from Raymond Gunemba with 2-0 against Hekari United. Thus they qualified again for the OFC Champions League 2017 .
