Laetitia Crescende Moma Bassoko (born October 9, 1993 in Yaoundé ) is a Cameroonian national volleyball player .

Career

Moma Bassoko was discovered in 2012 by the then chief trainer of SC Teun Buijs in Schwerin at a training camp in Cameroon. She was particularly noticeable for her jumping ability when attacking. The German first division team then signed them. In the following seasons, Moma Bassoko became an important supplementary player and was often used as a joker. In the 2012/13 season she was able to win the double of the championship and the DVV Cup with Schweriner SC . She was also used in the European Champions League and reached the play-offs of the competition with the club.

In 2013, Moma Bassoko was appointed by the Cameroonian Volleyball Association to the national team for the African Championship in September. Cameroon finished second in the tournament after losing to Kenya in the final . Moma Bassoka also received the award for best server of the tournament.

After the 2013/14 season, in which Schwerin had reached the playoff quarter-finals and the cup semi-finals, Moma Bassoko left the club in the second French volleyball league at VBC Chamalières . This was followed by further engagements in France at Stella ES Calais and VC Marcq-en-Barœul .

With the national team of Cameroon, Moma Bassoko won bronze at the 2015 African Championship. In 2017 and 2019 she was the African champion. She also took part in the 2014 and 2018 World Championships and the 2016 Olympic Games .
