The Cameroonian national volleyball team for women is a selection of the best Cameroonian women players, which the Fédération Camerounaise De Volley-Ball represents at international tournaments and internationals.

history

World Championship

In the 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship , the Cameroonian women were the first time there and occupied space 21st

Olympic games

Cameroon qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games for the first time .

African Championship

After two third places at the African volleyball championships in 1985 and 1991, the Cameroonians finished fourth in 1993. At the 1999 tournament they only had to admit defeat to Tunisia . This was followed by two more third places. In 2005 and 2007 it was only enough to finish fifth and sixth. In 2009 they finished third again and in 2013 second. Third again in 2015.

Africa Games

At the African Games in Cairo in 1991, the volleyball team from Cameroon won the bronze medal. In 2007 in Algiers they lost in the final against Algeria and went home with the silver medal. Four years later the tournament was won in Maputo. At the 2015 African Games in Brazzaville, Cameroon again won silver. The Cameroonian women's volleyball team has been one of the top African teams since 2007.

World cup

Cameroon has not yet played in the World Cup .

World Grand Prix

The World Grand Prix has so far taken place without Cameroonian participation.
