The Cameroonian national volleyball team of men is a selection of the best Cameroonian players, which the Fédération Camerounaise De Volley-Ball represents in international tournaments and internationals.

history

World Championship

In 1990 Cameroon finished 15th in the only ever participation in a volleyball world championship .

Olympic games

Cameroon has never qualified for the Olympic Games.

African Championship

After two fourth places at the African volleyball championships in 1971 and 1983, the Cameroonians reached the final in 1987 for the first time, in which they were subject to host Tunisia . When the Tunisians were absent two years later, Cameroon became African champions for the first time with a final victory over Algeria . In 1991 it was only enough for the defending champion to finish fourth. In 1995 and 1997 there were two more defeats in the final against Egypt and Tunisia. After finishing fourth in 1999, the Cameroonians won the continental title for the second time in 2001 against hosts Nigeria . In the last three tournaments they were each third.

World cup

At the 1989 World Cup , Cameroon finished eighth.

World league

The world league has so far taken place without Cameroonian participation.
