The Nigerian National Women's Volleyball Team is a selection of the best Nigerian women players represented by the Nigerian Volleyball Federation in international tournaments and internationals.

history

World championships

In 1982, Nigeria finished 23rd in the only ever participation in a volleyball world championship .

Olympic games

Nigeria have never qualified for the Olympic Games.

African Championships

In 1993, the Nigerian women took part as hosts in the African volleyball championship for the first time and came third. In the next two tournaments they only had to admit defeat to Kenya . When the tournament was held in their own country again in 1999, they finished third for the second time. Two years later they finished second behind the Seychelles . After the missed tournament in 2003, they lost their third time to Kenya in 2005.

World cup

Nigeria have not been involved in previous World Cup tournaments .

World Grand Prix

The World Grand Prix has so far taken place without Nigerian participation.
